With hundreds of large-scale worldwide projects in play, employees in support roles such as accounting, human resources and IT, among others, help keep energy-industry firms prosperous.
When companies need to hire a person in one of these fields, they will often call a staffing agency to help locate the right person for the job.
“The market for accounting and human resources is pretty robust,” said Casey Landers, senior recruiter, Murray Resources. “We get all kinds of orders for them.”
Landers said it depends on the job level as to whether an employer might want an applicant to have a certificate or degree. For a human resources manager, for example, an employer would require a degree.
